Private Wine Tasting and more

Why not create a private wine tasting event your own? Choose the number and styles of wines you'd like to taste, and leave the rest up to us. With a cellar of over 30,000 bottles of wine and over 3,000 different varieties, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Our wine discovery experiences and cellar tours (based on a minimum group of 8 people) and can be enjoyed Monday to Friday. Choose from the options below or speak to our Sommeliers about creating a completely unique experience.

The Art of Bubbles

Nothing gets a party going like sparkling wine and particularly Champagne! But have you ever wondered how this came about? How they make that wine fizz or what is the difference between a Vintage and a Non Vintage? Well now is your chance to find out. Your sommelier will show a variety of sparkling wines from around the world, explain the production and ageing process as well as offer advice on purchase and cellaring these exceptional wines.

Asian Influences

The Middle and Far East have had a huge influence on the food we eat today, with many spices, cooking methods and ingredients having a profound effect on a great number of dishes, but also on the wines we drink with them.
Join us for a tasting of wines that are excellent matches for these oriental flavours, from delicate lemongrass and ginger to the fruitiest of curries.

California Dreaming

As you may or may not know, The Vineyard has great links to some of the best, smallest and most individual wine producers in Napa and Sonoma.
Hence this is one of our strengths, so join us on a vinous tour, looking at some of the areas that are competing on the international scene, often bettering their more famous European counterparts in France!

The Vineyard becomes The Gin-yard

Gin has had a massive resurgence in popularity in recent years, with many small craft distilleries popping up all over the country, even in peoples living rooms! Join our Head Barman as he talks in depth about this very British spirit, its history and the modern styles currently available. Each different house, has their own style and blend of botanicals, and here he will show you these individual infusions and the finished product, with tips on how to serve and the different garnishes (minimum 5 people).

Shake, rattle and stir

Cocktails are on the rise again with a huge variety of new spirits, mixers, liqueurs and fresh juices available. Never since the 20’s have they been more popular. Join David Coveney, our Head Barman, as he shows you how to mix, shake, build and stir a variety of cocktails, and even make your own infusions and cordials to give them that personal touch (minimum 5 people).

Soft, hard, creamy or blue?

Cheese is a firm (or soft) favourite of many people at the end of the meal, but did you know that we produce a wider variety of cheeses in the UK than France? Whether it's Goats' milk, Ewes' milk, Cows' milk or even Buffalo, we are lucky enough to be able to offer an in depth educational and tasty session, guaranteed to find something for everyone. Here at The Vineyard we work in close partnership with our cheese suppliers and can arrange a personal tasting tour of some of our favourite seasonal offerings (minimum 12 people).
