Privacy Policy and Cookies

The Vineyard respects the privacy of its online visitors. As a general policy, we do not anonymously collect personal data from visitors to our web site though we use "cookie" technology to gather non-personal information from visitors.

Cookies

The cookies we use are "analytical" cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they're using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users are finding what they need easily.

The types of cookies that we use are referred to as "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies. Session cookies are temporary and are automatically deleted once you leave our website. Persistent cookies remain on your computer hard drive until you delete them. We do not use cookies to gather information concerning your visits to other sites, nor ascertain any personally identifiable information about you apart from what you voluntarily provide us in your dealings with us. Cookies do not corrupt or damage your computer, programs, or computer files.

Turning Cookies off

The standard policy of our website is to allow cookies to be set. You can change the settings on your internet browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, to allow you to choose whether or not to accept it, or to prevent all cookies. Please note however that if you choose to reject cookies, you may be unable to access certain parts of our website.

Access to individual visitor profiles:

We respect our visitors' privacy and maintain their profile information on a secure server. Personally identifiable information can be accessed and updated via one of The Vineyard's staff members. The Vineyard will not use our visitor's confidential information for purposes, which are not disclosed to or authorised by the visitor. The Vineyard may collect personally identifiable information, that is, your name, address, and email, when you voluntarily subscribe to receiving communications from us. This information is used solely by The Vineyard and does not sell this information to third parties, although we may share aggregated non-personal information. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time, so you should check this page periodically for any changes.

Email:

From time to time, The Vineyard asks visitors for their email address in order to provide relevant information such as reservation confirmations and offers. Email addresses may be joined with other information provided on our website and may also be augmented with other data sources. By providing their email address to us, visitors may receive email. Visitors will always have the ability to accept or decline email communications from The Vineyard. Email communication is sent only to people who have consented to receive email from The Vineyard. At the time of email capture, The Vineyard will advise the visitor that their email address will be used for service and product information, as well as marketing and promotional communications. At any time a visitor may opt-out of receiving email communication by following the directions posted in every email. Once a visitor has opted out, they can choose to opt-in at anytime.
